This just started a few days ago. What do I do to fix it and what kind of algae is it?

How old is your tank?

Have you tested your water.? Most like you will have phrosphate. I have the same problem at the moment.

Have not tested phosphate in a while as it has always been zero because I run GFO but I will check again.

Just check phos and it is 0. But I did find another issue I think caused the problem. My algae scrubber was creating bubbles at the bottom that flowed into the return chamber of the sump and then blew into the tank. That surprisingly created a lot of large bubbles in the tank.

bubbles forming underneath the surface can be a few things from algae to protazoa (o2, Co2 production)
