Started my tank about 3 weeks ago, and it started having some green/brown algae in the past couple days. I have a small cuc (2 crabs, 2 snails). Should I get more cuc, water change, or just wait?

OK thanks!Nope, I wouldn't change a thing. This is part of the "uglies". You'll get a diatom bloom, then some green algae growth, and in about 3-12 months, a proliferation of coraline algae. You'll get sporadic cyanobacteria/diatom/brown/hair algae blooms during the next 12 months. That's part of a new tank cycle.
Will do, thank youThis is your chance to learn reefing is about subtle small changes. I wouldn't do anything now, but practice good practices such as consistency in water changes, not overfeeding when you get fish, and letting the tank settle itself out. Trying to "correct" these problems suddenly causes more new reefers to have larger problems then relying on the best friend we have- time and best practices![]()
