Welcome! I second the temp raise and more water change. How did you cycle the tank and how long have the fish been in?

The tank cycled for 30 days with nothing in it but seeded for 7 days then every Monday then added fish and coral have now been in there now for 60 days.

Really excited to be here.. I am new to the saltwater life and so far loving it.
I have a 32gallon Coralife Biocube that’s been up and running for 3 months now.
I have a protien skimmer and a wave maker as well as fresh filter in tray 1 and Matrix in a sock in tray 2.
I check my tank numbers every Monday. Everything was fine until late Monday my tank is now super cloudy and looks like I have fine white grandulers floating around now.
I feed once in the morning and my tank temp is 74. I did a water change of 15% on Friday because my ammonia was rising. Any advice?

I would use some Seachem Prime to take care of the ammonia also. This way it protects your fish from getting burned.

Welcome to R2R & here is some good starting info.

Thanks so much I’ve been wanting this for 20 years and finally able to start.
I also use some of this in a filter bag if I get a small ammonia spike... just make sure it’s for saltwater...

Welcome to Reef2Reef! My advice would be to rehome the Tang, it's definitely too big of a fish and too big of an eater for your system. Cloudy water could be bacteria, and makes sense with ammonia rising. I'd keep up water changes until it stabilizes.
I have 2 clown fish what else would you recommend? He is willing to take Tang back to trade

My advice on selecting fish is to look on Liveaquaria.com and research the fish you find interesting. They have pretty straight forward information on care and requirements.

Welcome to R2R! Definitely advise to raise the temp (I like mine to stay at 78) and keep up with water changes. What are you feeding that beautiful yellow tang?

Happy Reefing!
