I am jumping into saltwater tanks for the very 1st time after keeping saltwater for 15years and after a lot of "I know I can do it but chicken out moments"
I must say, it has been a learning experience from learning how to do your own RO/DI set up to mixing of salt and what not and lord knows How many videos I have seen of the bulk reef supply dudes.
This is my 125 which was a fresh water tank and i did convert to saltwater...drilled in the overflow and was lucky enough to see and 35-gallon sump for $40,not a fan of those socks so i got a fresh bowl and drilled holes in it and added some filter floss, my refugium is not yet set up but most likely will be doing that this week
Got some dry rock that had been curing for like a year and also some not so long cured ones(I dipped those in bleach and water solution for a week and then just water for another week)
Added Turbo start fritzstart 900 and added 2 clownfish 2 days after, it has been about 2 weeks since then and everything seems ok so far
getting a test kit later today to make sure its not hell in there and hopefully will be adding some more fish good for circling soon
