Added a BTA yesterday and he quickly found himself a spot and kinda sucked himself into it. I left for work this morning and he looked ok, not out and happy but kinda poking out a bit. I get back and now he has withdrew into the rock completely and kinda sucked into himself so you can see his flesh. I ran my params this morning
Salinity 1.025
Ph 8
Alk 7.5
Nitrate 13
Magnesium 1330
Calcium 430
Phosphate (didn't check cause I ran out of packets so I ordered some)

This was this morning

Can you provide some white light photos?

How old is the tank?

Was it shipped or purchased locally?

How was acclimation done?

Tanks about 3 months, I know it's soon but parameters were steady and I've had one before but this might be my mistake here. He was shipped and floated/drip acclimated for about 45 minutes. He is hard ro capture since he's dug himself in there but if he's a goner I want to get him out before he nukes the tank.

give it a couple more days......like corals (and any other thing alive), it takes some time to acclimate to a new place......

Thanks, I hope your right. He does actually seem to be emerging a bit so maybe he is OK.
