New Anemone from Denver Reef Stock 2022

Could not resist, a beautiful rainbow BTA.

Just $75 and perfect size for my tank.

Pay much more than that for a sight unseen something or other by the e-commence.

Has settled in, looks great, all bubbly, fully extended. Happy as a clam (if I had one).

It is on the vertical backwall, all cozy in a niche I placed it in. Has not moved.

I might try a photograph, so people think I have this wonderful tank that is not the Baltimore Inner Harbor at low tide.

I plan to not touch it or feed it or do anything for a while.

I hope it does better than the Green Anemone.

If it does not, I will not keep Anemones forever.

Its demise will break my heart.

Just an update.

The Anemone seems happy, even fed it one tiny piece of raw shrimp which it gladly grabbed and ate with no apparent ill effect. I am thinking once a month.

Wakes up each morning, expands to truly impressive size, and then utterly disappears back into its little niche when the sun starts to set, and the moon rises.

Has yet to eat the two spot blenny. Clever little fish.

If there were tiny dwarf clownfish I would be tempted to add two ... but that would likely be a ...

10 month update.

Anemone is happy as a clam, has not moved at all, I feed it twice a month or so with a little pea-sized piece of shrimp.

Decided to forgo things like ribeye steak and the like on the off chance they might get "iron poisoning" or some obscure issue.

Learned anemones are very sensitive to flow in terms of their extension and it is hard to manage flow in a 10-gallon tank.

Still the same color, still has bubbles at it tips.

Need to buy some bits and pieces to manage the return pump flow better.

I have a small ECO slim Hygger power head ... but have stopped using it ... just not the right flow.
