New anemone help.

So got my first anemone a week ago. He has been looking great. He moved into a cave for a couple days then started working his way out. I fed him a little bit of brine yesterday. I came home today and hes back in the cave and all swelled up. Is this normal?

Since it’s new it’s normal. Don’t feed it until it’s completely settled

Yeah, it will take sometime for the nem to settle in a spot it likes. I added my RBTA a year after my tank was set up and it took a month for it to find a spot it liked, at times it looked terrible and thought it was going to die but I just left it alone and it eventually found a spot and has been there since and has also split a few times.

I would vote not feed at all, but I understand many do

He is back to normal this morning. I have never seen any pictures of them ballooned up like that. Defense mechanism? Such wonderful creatures.

I have ~23 to 25 BTA's in a tank...some do this in the evening and some do not. They are all fine.
