I just added a small, 2” BTA to my tank last night. It moved to a spot next to the RFA and Mini Maxi and my clown instantly started harassing it. I woke up this morning and it’s foot is no longer attached and it’s deflated and looks like white fuzzy stuff where the mouth was. This is my first BTA and I just don’t know what to do.
I attached pics of water tests and the anemone.

Tank is 13.5G Fluval with Stock LED, running chemi pure, Purigen and filter floss. Jebao wavemaker, 1 clown, 1 goby pistol pair, hermits, snails, tiger conch, and emerald (added with anemone). Tank has been up for almost 9 months.

Here is a full view of the tank if that helps.

Any chance the Elegance coral’s stinging it? That’s my first guess at a glance
It wasn’t there it was just floating next the the mini maxi on the far right of tank, I tried to move him under of the cover of the cave from the clown, but I will scoot the elegance over just in case. He has only been there since I posted thread.

Also that Hollywood Stunner has reeeeally king feeder tentacles at night. It’s currently trying to kill the Euphilia I circled. 9B5C5F5D-8EE0-40F5-91B7-92872CAE88D3.jpeg

It’s possible the flow’s allowing the Hollywood to reach the Nem as well? Depends on the flow pattern that I can’t see.

Hmm I didn’t know I had to watch for sweepers on that guy at night... thank you! But I don’t think that was the issue with the new, he was behind and down 6” from the chalice, I don’t thing with the flow he could have gotten there. Here is where he was last night.

The clown has now flipped the new nem over and is poking at it. I took video but won’t let me upload.

I turned it back over here is pic.

The RFA and mini maxi have been living there with the chalice in its same spot for months and haven’t ever gotten stung that I could tell.

I would get an acclimation box for it until it adjusts to your tank. I think your clown is torturing it (inadvertently) and adding to the stress of acclimation.

Second this. I’ve had one look terrible for weeks or disappear into crevasses and end up being fine. They are pretty resilient.

Ok I ordered one from Amazon, it will be here Wednesday. Hopefully he makes it that long!

Agreed, let it acclimate. I have had PO'd nems as I spoke and prod to move them between tanks. They all have gotten over themselves and recovered. I'd consider maybe dropping flow to let it grab hold, since even the smallest ow series jebao is a ton of flow in that tank (I have the same combo).

I also question the lights. I added 4 blue led strips to my led, think it was like 15-20 more watts of led. This supported my rbtas just fine and in 2 months 3 went to 4.

Also, you can use suction cups, magnets, etc with a Tupperware as a temporary box. I used an old Tupperware and drilled a few dozen holes in it. No lid. Make sure it is very well rinsed and has no soap or detergent residue.

chalice corals are a******s. mine has just been banished to the bottom of the tank after trying to kill my torch for the past few months

You might want to add an emerald crab too if you haven't yet. They do wonders for bubble algae.
Just added one with the anemone yesterday... hoping he will tackle that  I’ve been trying to remove it manually but I feel like it just comes back worse.
