I had been planning on waiting a while before I got any fish or difficult coral due to my lack of experience, but my boyfriend decided to surprise me with a pair of black and white clowns as well as a large lta... I was pleased when the lta dug it's foot into the sand were I originally put it and attached onto the glass. It has remained full and bright since I got it and have target fed it twice with some shredded shrimp I got for corals at my lfs.
I have a 15 gallon cube that has been established for over a year that I moved to my apartment a month ago. I have been able to maintain my water quality and have been able to keep the corals that came with it alive and healthy. My water perams: ammonia: 0, nitrites: 0, nitrates: 15ppm, pH: 8.0, kh: 11dkh, ca: 480ppm, phosphate:0ppm, temp: 80F.
I noticed a couple days ago that it appeared to have 2 mouths. I can't tell for sure because it folded itself a little against a rock and the glass, but this is what it's doing:
Anyone know how to tell and how long they can take if that's the case? Also any advice on the best way to take care of lta's?
