I was just wondering how long I should Qurintian a Anemone before adding it to the display tank to make sure it dose not bring in any ick or anything else to the tank if anyone can help please let me know

I think it depends a lot on your QT setup and anemone supplier. Ick can't live on an anemone, so a thorough rinsing would reduce the risk of introducing this, but it takes ~10 weeks(?) to die without a host, so that's not 100%. I've never had an anemome, so idk for sure.

What did you end up doing?

there really isn't a need to QT a nem in my opinion. If you are worried about a parasite like ich, then don't worry because unlike other inverts, nems don't have a hard surface for the ich to hang around on. I could be wrong but asking @Humblefish 's opinion wouldn't hurt. He will answer this question once his next door neighbor comes to his house :D

10 days in ciprofloxacin should take care of any infections the nem might have. The only fish disease you need to worry about with anemones is theront stage parasites, which will die within 48 hrs without a fish host to feed upon.

Will they be okay under sub-par lighting for this period?

Say specifically BTAs, in case it matters.

Define sub-par lighting. I would use at least a 4 bulb T-5 fixture during QT. Maybe a 2 bulb T-5 would be good enough for just 10 days.

I used a 16$ led strip from homedepo worked just fine left him in there 7 days he was happy eating and after I gave him a good rinse and he is happy in the display but the clowns have not hosted it yet

A generic shop fluorescent hanging between 36-48 inches above the tank. I do have the hood with incandescent lights that came with the 10 gallon kit.

The $16 LED sounds like the way to go!

It does sound like a better option than a shop light. ;)
