and how long does it take for clown fish to host it?

Yes, from what I can see. How long? Weeks, months... longer? Most clownfish are captive bred and don't really have a clue what to do with the anemone.
How does it everyone always have hosting clownfish ???

Yup, 3 months before either one of my clowns even realized the Nem was in the tank. Now one of them never leaves it. The other one still has no clue.

I'm going to stand up for the clowns here. In the wild, they settle into their anemones at less than 1/3" long. When we introduce captive raised clowns to their first anemone, they've already gotten 4x bigger. The poor things are confused. They didn't settle into an anemone at the time they normally would, so they don't know what to do. It isn't that the clowns are dumb, it's that breeders don't want to put anemones into the rearing tanks. I can't really blame them, imagine catching 200 tiny clowns out of a bunch of anemones.
