I've had this anemone for a few days. Water parameters are all stable and it hasn't moved from the spot I've placed it yet. The thing is, I've only seen it's mouth closed once and it didn't stay closed very long. I work nights so Im able to monitor the tank inhabitants throughout the day. (Helps that my kid loves the tank too :))
I have a lot of copepods and other little guys throughout the tank. I don't have any fish so they're able to reproduce in my fuge and in my tank. My theory is that because of the copepod population, it's always snacking. That's why her mouth never closes. Could this be true?
She's also been spot fed with no problems either if that matters.

Any info would be appreciated!

Very nice rock nem. I will say this looks to be something new to me. Maybe @AcroNem can say what's going on here. You said you have no fish AND have a refugium. So my question to you is.... where is your nutrition for your corals coming from?

I feed the corals daily. I use phyto and a mysis shrimp, alternating what I feed each day. They also eat the pods.

To me it just looks like it may still be acclimating to your system and is a little stressed. But if it's opened all the way and is taking food it shouldn't stay that way for long.
