I acclimated and added an RBTA to my tank. It looks healthy and is doing well. My question is what to do about placing it. It came attached to a small rubble rock, the Anenome is only about 1 1/2”. I placed it next to where I would like it in hopes it will move off the rubble rock. My concern is I have my hydor and MP10 powered down the last few hours since I added it.

I know the tank will be fine with my return for surface agitation overnight. Should I have tried moving it off the rubble? With it being new and already stressed out I didn’t want to add to it by pulling it off or trying to.

It is not a good idea to try to get it off the rubble, it could damage the foot. Put it down where you want it, and it will move if it wants to; which is probably will want to move somewhere away from where you want it...

Ok yeah that’s what I have done so far. Keeping it simple. With it attached to the ruble should I still give it 24 hours without the wave pumps off?

No, leave the flow on, that way it can move around if it wants. If the flow is off, and it detaches, you could find it randomly floating around, lol...

If your pumps aren't covered than there's a good chance the nem could walk right into them or float....

One of the missus' stockings mate, cut a strip off and put it round the powerhead. The Nem will most likely move off the piece of rock it was on anyway but if you haven't got your normal flow and it moves the chances are it will want to move again when you turn the pumps back on.

Yeah I only have my Vortech on because it has the foam cover i need to make one for my hydor.

Careful they can get sucked right through the foam that comes with them. As above use a stocking works great!
