I don't know how else to phrase this, but my new Coral beauty angel seems to have a digestive issue where his poop is long and stringy and does not detach from his body for more than an hour after coming out.

I QTd the fish for 3 weeks with no issues and it has been in my tank for 2 weeks. I thought it was just a temporary issue that would go away but it doesnt seem to be. It is a very healthy fish: fat, colorful, eating well, and seemingly healthy.

internal parasite maybe? It seems to be unharmed though.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the poop white or brown?

Probably just constipated

Yes, brown stingy poop is a sign of irritation in the digestive system. Usually it will heal itself. If it were White it would point to internal parasites. I would just keep a close eye on it.

What you can do for help is take peas and peel the skins off of them... and feed to the coral beauty.... it held with constipation

Kannaplex mixed with focus and some food can also help, if help is needed.
