I would consider buying one if for no other reason the web server...very cool.

I love my MKE though...

though call though...you can clearly see that they took a lot of design ideas from the RKE.

I wish they would hurry up and release the Apex so I can upgrade my Jr. with a wealthy someone's ACIII. :)

The main thing that turns be off is their customer service.

Ive not dealt with them personally, but Ive herd its lacking.

Digital Aquatics on the other hand has the best support of any of the controllers. Their new support forum is incredible.

I like this...

The ONLY thing I really "need" a controller for is viewing over the web when I'm away for peace of mind, ATO and heater/chiller control. Everything else I do through other means as I hate trusting any electronics/controllers... this seems to be a step-ahead of my Profilux, hmmm...

I have had several issues...most of my own doing and have always received quick accurate responses. The Neptune forum on that other reefing board is an awesome resource as well. Tons of people using and developing applications for the Neptune. Pretty sure I will be upgrading controllers this year.

Can't say that Neptune's been exactly 'chatty' with responses to problems, but they've answered any questions I've had accurately and quickly. And their user manuals are pretty thorough once you get used to how they're written - all the info is in there, but every word means something - not for skimming over.

Either way, I've been an AC3 user for a couple years and the product is solid, they keep adding functionality (aquasurf ftw!) and I'll be upgrading when the new controller is out. Glad I didn't jump on the buggy RKE bandwagon. :D

I'm sure v1 of the Apex will have some issues as well but I'll be waiting a few months and getting one just the same.

I have one on pre-order. I figure any issues it has can be done with programming which will be done over the net anyway.....
