I just bought my first apex. I consider myself pretty tech savvy. This is as clear as mud. I am trying accomplish some things beyond my skillset and would really appreciate some guidance. The support is almost nonexistent from the manufacturer. I am trying to connect my VarioS-6 return pump to my apex. I have the ethernet cable and would like to program the pump to ramp down for feeding and a few surge times throughout the day and night. I would also like to connect my maxspect Gyre and Radion pro and manage them all through the Apex interface. I would love some guidance on connecting to the power bar and/or any modules I may need to purchase as well as code examples. I really appreciate any help in advance.

Ok with the Radion you need to have a WXM module once you add that module then
Follow these instructions
https://www.neptunesystems.com/getstarted/wxm/radion/

As far as your pump you need a minidin cable from coralvue Ice cap for that
You can find that here:
http://www.coralvue.com/icecap-y-module-cable
For your maxspect you'll find that cable here

No I'm not familiar with the maxspect gyre
No go with the two cable the reason is obviously it plugs into one port on the Apex but you can co trol two different devices ( not just the Vario) your wasting a outlet if you go without one one cable

The maxspect cable looks the same as the Varios cable I would buy the two cable and try it on both the vario and the gyre
( each variable port) ( which looks like a phone connection) can control two devices

I don't think you can do anything with your varios return pump and the apex except turn on or off..even with a ecotech return pump, like the L1 or M1, all you can do with apex is turn it on or off. It is not even compatible with the WXM module.

The vario is controllable

Ask your developers to write Apex simple code for you ;-)

Fire the ones that cannot comprehend that "macro like" stuff from Neptune...LoL

:) It's ok Bob, I'm feeling better now but FYI, my comment is based on owning a software development company for more than 30 years.
