Upgrading to a 225 from 120. I got a new Apex to go with the new tank. My question is can I set up and configure my Apex before I have the tank up and running and then just add the probes and calibrate them after the tank is set up? I’m just trying to get everything I can set up before hand since I know it will be a long day just to transfer the livestock and sump. Would like to get the Apex updated, linked up, and outlets configured so that it’s ready to go and I can focus on getting the fish and coral in place.

You can set up things but not turn them on. Leave the caps on the probes.
Not sure it’s worth coding anything until you start using it on the tanks.

Yep, get logged in link the brain to fusion ect. Mine is on right now running my kessils. Had the wife plug it in and go through setup. I then programmed my kessils from Iraq. That's all it's running right now as my reef keeper still runs the rest until I get home

As others have already replied, Yes you can set up your Apex in advance. If nothing else, it might be good to get familiar with the Apex and experiment with it prior to relying on it to monitor your tank. Once your tank it running, you'll need to soak the probes for a few days in the sump prior to calibrating anyway. If you're interested in doing more advanced programming with your Apex, you might benefit from reading my 8-part Apex programming tutorial series here on R2R:
