New Apex Trident alk testing off help

Hello guys I got my Apex trident on Wednesday and I Calibrated it yesterday with the Calibration fuild...calibration fuild said on bottle dkh 8.40 Cal 465 and mag 1265... After calibration complete it I ran test and all test came back good besides alk was saying 8.06 dkh...so I tested with hanna checkers and alk was 8.90 dkh.....so. I decided to calibrate with tank water....and now the Apex reporting dkh of 7.30 dkh....and Hanna is saying 8.90 dkh......maybe I got bad alk reagent?...what do.u guys think?

Two options here;

- Run a recalibration with the Apex cal fluid and use those values. Remember the key for Alk is stability so 8.1 or 8.9 as a base value won’t make a huge difference. The cal fluid is a standard with known values so theoretically produces the most accurate results in this scenario.

- If you want your apex to be aligned with your Hanna checker run a second calibration and see what happens. Technically speaking if you don’t have the Hanna Alk standards you can’t know for sure if the Hanna is accurate.

I ran other calibration with tank water still the same thing alk it still reporting 7.38 dkh on Apex and Hanna checker is reporting 9.80 dkh

I guess this is why u read the instructions I did not know u had prime the simple line wen Calibrating.... So I’m assuming this is why It was throwing the alk off because it still had tank water in simple line...
