Talked my brother into getting an apex finally and hes having a lot of trouble. I was able to help him get connected with fusion and it appeared to be working for the first day, then all the outlets turned themselves off. Even if I manually turn the switches to ON it just turns them right back to off after a few seconds. I tried changing fallback settings to ON and can upload that change which seems to work successfully but the then the bar just goes to off again. Help me out what am I missing?

I've had mine for years so I have the old classic version, but his is brand new so its slightly different having the wave pumps and everything that I don't have.

The triangle tile is the Alarm Log. Anything listed in there?

Whenever I've seen this happen, it's usually a network problem preventing the Apex from communicating properly with the Fusion cloud service. Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

  1. Enable the Heartbeat monitoring in Fusion. This will let you know if the Apex is not in communication with Fusion. To do this, click the Apex menu at the top left in Fusion, then scroll down and click Heartbeat. Follow the on screen instructions.

  2. If Fusion is not able to control the Apex, try logging in to the local Apex dashboard. Browse to http://apex.local. Keep in mind the local password is not the same as your Fusion account & password. If you never set it, the default is:
    Username = admin
    Password = 1234
    Once logged in locally, try controlling the outputs to see if they respond.

  3. How is the Apex connected? Wired network cable, or WiFi? If WiFi, go into the Network Setup screen and look at the WiFi signal strength:

  4. If all else fails, try rebooting the Internet router. On rare occasions I've seen routers blocking the Apex traffic and a reboot tends to clear it up.

Google your symptoms. If your Apex isn't connected to Fusion, then Fusion can't turn outlets ON. Use local Apex web page on local router. (Should be part of initial setup)

Try these two steps:

unplug EB832, unplug all plugs into it and press the little yellow button on back of the base . Plug everything back in and it should have reset
