tunze nano ATO controller stopped working and smells burnt. can I hook up the float to the eb832 24volt molex and say if interrupted turn on outlet 8 for 10 seconds?

The 24v ports on the EB832 are only meant to supply power to a device, not to read the status of a float switch. You'd need to connect the float to a breakout box port.
