sweet...whats holding it together? where did you but the long branches? on line or in person?

I'll be the critical one here. I'm trying to be constructive, not negative. The dry look of the rock is very natural and therefore appealing but I think you will have a ton of practical issues with your corals mounting on a circular surface (unless you are zip tying and then applying epoxy over the zip ties and frag plugs. I've always liked the look of Tonga branch rock, but it's impractical.

If you have a vision for encrusting corals than getting corals to grow over the branches, in time it will look great.

Good luck. Kudos for doing something different.

Thanks guys for all compliments...I have a friend he does custom Aqua-scape. He collected all the Tonga Branches from the local reefers that didn't need it. All the branches he designed I can remove them out and put them back easy less than 5 min (No zip ties). This rock is 55"x22" to fix perfect into my 60"x30"x20" rimless starphire tank.

That looks awesome! Now you have me rethinking the rockscape for my new tank.

If you're going for what you had before it looks fine........but for my tastes it's way too symmetrical. In other words, if you draw a line through the exact middle of your scape it's a mirror image.

One side lower and shaped differently would add more impact.......or even eliminated all together.

no in all seriousness he has a point. big rule in photography is the 1/3 rule where the subject is 1/3 between margins rather than centered. symmetry doesn't carry quite the impact. I still like the scape as is, but get the point he is making. On another note, can you explain how you can easily take it apart? Also I dont think that will work when the coral start to grow and encrust together.

I'm not being critical as much as offering some tips......plus the aquascaping part is more of a passion for me. I wouldn't have bothered to say anything, but Redstag already has a eye for this. Many times people go for making the rock look good and when the corals grow in the whole thing just looks like a "wall".

Like mentioned, the 1/3 is something to keep in mind.

There's also the Golden Ratio rule with aquascaping.

The basic idea is you want to have a central point of emphasis that doesn't get lost in the clutter. It doesn't mean you can't have a lot of corals, just focus more on the big structure.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Just added two 24W stunner LED strip light to my SFILIGOI pendant

I'm using the One Touch LED Controller for two 24w stunner LEDs strip to simulate the Sunrise/Sunset - gradually increases and decreases intensity of each channel over 30 minutes
Cloud Cover - gently fade each light channel to mimic cloud cover and storm effects
Moon Lighting - replicate the lunar cycle to illuminate lively nocturnal creatures
