Hi All,

My dad has been working on this aquarium for two years he built the stand, did all the research, and came up with a plan of attack to put this 150g aquarium in motion. Our family watched this man in awe as he invested his money and time and made the tank a family center piece and labor of love.
Im his son who decided his work needed to be shown to the public, thank you reef 2 reef for making this happen, without further ado here are some photos, any questions or suggestions please feel free to input as I'm sure he would appreciate any insight. Sorry about the photos they were taken with a pretty bad camera so colors seem to be captured with the corals and such. The tank has been up for about 5 months now.

Wow ladies and gentlemen thank you for such a warm welcome, the community support here is awesome! I showed my dad your comments and while he isn't a man of many words I know he appreciates all your praise as many of you know just all the hard work that goes into something like this. We have viewed other reefs on the site and reefing community in aw of the time money and labor spent know your comments are dually noted.

To answer some questions Saltyhog, at first he set up a small frag tank where he and I picked out a bunch of frags we liked, however after months of these corals not growing a mm, I decided to purchase him a "colony" from our local fish store Absolutely fish and sea level aquarium, as well as live aquaria. Then I added some carbon to the 20g frag tank and that pretty much necessitated the larger corals purchased as the carbon wiped out all the sps frags we had. Ha I should have posed questions here earlier, live and learn. Salty is it frowned upon that they have not been grown to this point in his tank?

Reef lover- It is a 40 gal tank, that when he turns the return pump off you hear the check valve clunk into position and watch the sump fill up with water, is this what your talking about if so it fills up about an inch under the top of the tank.

Just to add some more photos of how far he went with all of this...
Believe it or not he suffered from depression and his therapist thought it would be a good idea for him to acquire a hobby and here we are two years later.
