New aquarium design

Is that like mirrored glass ?

The only disadvantage I see is you couldn't cover it for carpet surfers :/

It's starfire glass, cut to his design and then sand blasted so there are no sharp edges. I agree, you wouldn't be able to cover it, but it would look awsome with a nice hanging fixture above it.
He 45's his corners for extra strength.

Very interesting tank. Never seen anything like it.

He's pretty excited about it. Cant wait to see it up and running.

I think it's pretty cool looking! Can't wait to see it finished ... keep us posted on the status.

very unique looking and such but man i would hate to slip while cleaning i just can see many scratches and cuts on one regardless of how smooth the edges are.
looks awesome with the lights reflecting threw the glass.

even though it's not " SHARP " I would hate to be on top of a chair or small step while my arms are in the tank to only slip or fall off the step/chair..

interesting idea though.

It's cool to look at but, isn't the point to see the contents of the tank? Yes, you don't want a tank and stand that look like crap but they should not draw the eyes away from the contents.

Just my two cents.

I would, however, love to have a rimless tank with mitered corners and a plain top edge.

I would never put that in my living room, or my corals into it. I mean its a cool design and all but a little too much "I wanna be different" I think.
