New Aquarium Tank has cracked frame

Got home from Pet store which they require you to over look tank for scratches and the employee to then sign waiver that we inspected and it is fine. Cardboard covered plastic frame so I could not see it. So I saw it once we totally unboxed tank to put on stand. It is a marineland 120 gallon overflow. So I guess my only option is to call them due to signing the waiver? What would you all do in my shoes or have you had maybe a similar issue? Thanks

I would ask them to honor the return, if not I would never buy ANYTHING from them again. Especially if the crack was in an area that was covered.

I’ve never had to sign a waiver for a tank purchase. That’s BS. I’d raise hell.

I would think if the waiver specifically relates to scratches and glass imperfections. It has nothing to do with a cracked frame and they should take it back. Especially because the frame itself was covered. And they probably wouldn't have let you unwrap it in the store with no purchase.

Never heard of waiver, OR do they knowingly sell factory Seconds and use waiver to cover their butts ???

Although frame is cosmetic, it is still cracked !

Yeah that is what I was thinking too. I hope they will just swap it out for me vs. warrenty claim

I would have guessed ( based on customer satisfaction and retention), that this would be the outcome.
Great to hear and do they think a happy customer will return?? As a former pet store owner, I already know the answer !
