New aquarium technology

So I have been in the hobby a little over a year, and following it for nearly two years, so I am admittedly a novice. I am wondering if there's a time each year when the aquarium industry releases new technology and tools? Is it typically at a specific conference or event or completly random? I want to buy some new technology!

LOL....Mostly that would be InterZoo in europe...but there's MACNA and some smaller domestic conferences too. Innumerable frag-swaps.

I am hoping for big things! Just looked and macna is in September. I will try to hold out. Lol
