I've been keeping reef aquariums for around 17 years. I set up a new 170 gallon peninsula and used life rock by caribsea, pink fiji sand by caribsea. All new rock and sand BTW. I also used 0 TDS water and Red Sea coral pro salt. I added the sand on august 19th and the water has remained cloudy giving off a hint of sulphur smell. Other equipment included brightwell aquatics xport brick (bio media) skimmer, heater and usual stuff. Not running anything else while the tank cycles. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this because I haven't. Thanks

I had this smell a few nights ago but it was my fault I opened a biopellet reactor that I had offline for a few weeks by accident! WOW my whole house smelled like sulfur for hours!! I put new carbon and a small water change and good to go ......maybe you try running a little carbon

I most definitely will as soon as I get home from MACNA! Thanks
