Set this all up before being locked down so now I’m just pouring ammonia in to stay cycled, but I Figured I’d share the rock work. I HATE aquascaping because I never know what to do but I just messed with stuff until it felt right.

Tank is a 200g 80in Long

Love it! It great that you were able to have little contact of rock to sand.

Hey thanks! Yeah - this rock is from https://blueiquatics.com/ - it's extremely light weight and fits together really easily. That big segment on the far right took some putty, but everything else is just tucked together. I think the heaviest piece probably weighs like 10 pounds. Great stuff. I just had to get it a couple pieces at a time because $$$.

A few spots have gotten a bit white but once I can get some coralline growing it'll all work out.

Sure thing. Here it is. My plan for the tank is to focus on fish that may or may not be totally reef safe, and then fill in with some large, flowing LPS stuff. I like a lot of motion and coverage. I had this tank set up before and it all just got too complicated with the SPS so I'm scaling it back.

How porous is this rock? Never heard of these guys before. Scape looks great!

thanks. Yeah I think this stuff is relatively new but it’S popping up all over the pacific Nw. I think it’s made out here in Oregon or Washington.

I don’t know specifics but it’s definitely way more porous than other types of man made stuff. I had some stuff that was literally just concrete. This stuff feels more like the consistency of lava rock. You can crumble it a bit and it feels like it could break open easily.
