NEW Avast Davy Jones Skimmate Locker

This is a NEVER USED Avast Marine Davy Jones skimmate locker (small size). I have had this for quite a while, but decided not to use it on my setup. I also have the necessary cable to connect the switch to a Reefkeeper for an additional $10. Would I need anything special to integrate this with an Apex? I notice you have the Reefkeeper cable available, but I'm guessing that only works with DA?

I'm not sure what would be needed to integrate this with an Apex - I've only used Reefkeeper's thus far. I would assume you may have to have a cable that is specific to the Apex, just based on my knowledge of how other pieces of equipment are integrated with the Reefkeeper versus the Apex. I went to the Avast website and looked at the instructions for connecting the locker to an Apex - Check this site and see if you can glean anything from it:

All you need is a different pressure switch.

Avast marine would be happy to sell you that just email them.

You will also need a break out box for your apex

Depending on what switch the on the break out box you hook to...the command on your skimmer program can me as simple as

If Sw2 OPEN Then OFF


And you enter this command to get am email or text alert.

If Sw2 OPEN Then ON

I only have about 4.25" of space... the website does say 4.75", but maybe that's the top of it? Could you possibly measure the bottom round section?

I just measured the base, and it did measure 4.75".
