12 days into a first time saltwater bio cube setup. Anyone have suggestions for what to keep in the second/middle chamber? The first has a heater and protein skimmer. 3rd is the pump.

20# of live rock, live sand and 425gph circulation pump.

Do you have any media. Usually in the first chamber where the water enters you want to put a black sponge like carbon infused sponge or whatever the biocube typically comes with a square black sponge, under it your biological media/chemical, and then that will go into the next chamber usually the skimmer and heater.

I believe it has a built-in filter tray and comes with a media cartridge. When I had the biocube29, I used the second chamber as a mini fuge.

Right now I only have the filter media that came with the tank. It's just a single filter cartridge sitting onto of the media tray.

I run a 32 Biocube. 1st chamber is my heater. I modified the 2nd chamber a bit to fit a Tunze 9001 skimmer and Media Rack. 3rd chamber has my probes, UV light and return pump. You could go with the "In Tank" refugium and Media Rack to get the most bang out of the space or one of the innovative marine media reactors.

Here's what I do with my nano:

1st chamber: one black sponge, then bags of chemipure elite and gfo underneath

2nd chamber: skimmer and floating hydrometer.

3rd chamber: ato unit

First chamber is Aquaticlife skimmer. Second chamber is Intank media holder and intank fuge with a JBJ light. Third chamber has return pump, heater, and Tunze Nano ato.

Do you keep the water level fairly high in order for the 3rd compartment to hold water heater?

Do you have a link to order that?
