Tank is little over 2 weeks old. Yesterday installed a avast spy glass reactor with bio pellets and ORP is continuing to climb. Had been at 160 ish but jumped to 223 in less than 12 hours after install. I know orp is very complicated but thought it was interesting non the less. BB3BA7C3-325B-407D-AE90-7CE331CA4E4F.jpeg

I don't know why it would do that, but I can tell you that an ORP of 160 is about half of where you want it. Should be closer to 300 is my understanding.

Yea i guess new tanks can read low... The ORP is interesting as it can make big swings with additives etc. Never seen it go up so fast. Could just be the tank maturing.

My ORP started really low when I first got my tank restarted. It steadily climbed for several months and finally settled in at 400-440. It dips to about 300 after each water change but recovers after a few hours.

ORP
The magical mystery number
I have seen mine from -49 to 560.
The longer the tank runs the higher it trends and just recently started breaking 400 with the ozone off.
