Hello all!
New to saltwater but not to aquariums and fish keeping. I've been keeping African and new world cichlids for about 10 years now but wanted to dip my toes into saltwater.
Went down to the LFS and got a used oceanic biocube. Looks like a 29 gallon maybe? Came with stand and skimmer but didn't have the stock lighting. It came with some sort of conversion with a glass too and an HQI metal halide lamp from Coralife. My question is this: is this appropriate for a tank this small if I'm only wanting to keep a few fish and no corals? I'll attach some photos but the light just seems really intense and like it might stress the fish out.
Again, I just got it. It's been set up for less than a day at this point and I'm just cycling the tank. Let me know your thoughts and opinions please!
The pictures show an extremely blue tone but the light appears much more white to my eyes.
