In my experience over the last 20 years, the Hippopus clams are the easiest to keep. They do well under a variety of lighting and are pretty much bulletproof.

Just a note, all the clams in those pics with the exception of the derasa and squammy came from PEA and all have shown white new growth while they have been in the tank. Top notch.
