Received a new bubble tip anemone from Cultivated Reef via fedex today... (LATE, like 5 pm)
Would it be a problem to leave it overnight in the shipping container? Hoping that I can place it tomorrow with lights on to prevent it from moving around too much overnight unsupervised.

Put it in. Asap.

He’s going to move where he wants.
If the waters clear in the bag, then likely OK.
If it’s cloudy, get him out.
Better to put him in.

Yeah that's what I thought too. :)
I was just hoping that maybe I could wait. Have a gorgeous maxima clam that I'm worried about & also a few frags that aren't glued down yet.but I'll
Just have to move to the frag rack!

Acclimate properly and put it in now. Better to do when the lights are off.

I do understand that he will move where he wants to, I was just hoping to be able to kind of observe the 1st few hours in the tank. Ty

Another option. I took a place strainer (like the size of a sandwich) and used rubber bands to attach to the eurobracning, then place the RTBA in it. It is in the water but can't really move anywhere.

I do this whenever mine splits so I can take it to my LFS.

Now that's an idea!! Ty :)

I have clams as well.
My BTA moved “around” things mostly, seemed not to want to run over anything.
He shouldn’t run long, if your not making flow or light changes.

After 2 years of not being hosted and being bit every time you put your hands in the tank you'll come around.
My clowns don't bite me at all but the damsel fish are a different story.. lol
Also, my peppermint shrimp female thinks every time I put my hand in the tank it's a trip to Disney world to ride a rollercoaster. It doesn't hurt, but startles the CRAP out of me EVERYTIME. LOLOLLOL

Mine didn't start until after the nems started hosting them. Now I use the net as a shield every time. Even then it doesn't always work.
