Hey everyone, here is a most recent FTS of my cycling 75. I still need to grab an ATO as well as some routine maintenance supplies, magnet glass cleaner and something I can scrub the back glass and bottom glass with. Here it is for now!

Nice tank! Check out my build thread too!! Not quite as far along as yours, but I’m getting there.

I think yours is a lot more involved though! Unreal, built from scratch. Good work, it's coming along well.

I left a deli shrimp in for 3 days which did not raise ammonia that much per Red Sea test kit so now I titrated to around 1ppm using NH4Cl and dosing microbacter 7, 3-4 caps, daily.

Tank is cycled! It'll still be a while before I stock it with anything. I'm looking for a return pump capable of pushing water through hose attachment down the stairs and across the floor maybe 20-25 feet as well as 15-20 feet of horizontal push that I can use to drain tank water and re-fill the tank with fresh saltwater to avoid carrying buckets of water up and down the stairs frequently. Anybody with experience in this Jebao pumps? Wondering it the 2100 gph version would be sufficient. The other option is the Iwaki 55RLT that I can grab from BRS. Price difference is a lot.

Jabeo pumps will work as long as you get the right size. The only problem is how long it lasts. It’s not the most high quality pump out there.
Gottcha. In that case I might go for the Iwaki to start with rather than have a 90$ pump go out early.

This is what I've got so far as far as a partial water change system. This is a 65g norwesco vertical tank. These are the fittings I currently have. I didnt have room to accommodate 2 tanks and setup a full station. I wanted to plumb it this way so that I will be able to add the 2nd tank in the future after I move. This tank will hold RODI. One ball valve will remain closed. Is there a quick connect pvc fitting that I dont have to glue in that I could attach an Iwaki pump to the end of the other ball valve? Then I'd run a 25 ft hose on the outlet of the iwaki and use that to fill my top off reservoir, fill a saltwater mixing container downstairs, etc.

Edit: only wondered if there was any leakproof quick connects for pvc this way so that I could potentially take the pump downstairs to the tank and use it to drain the tank as well. Otherwise I can grab a cheaper pump like maxijet to pump water out of the tank.

Tank has been filled since 1.9.20.
It's a bit cloudy most notably when the sun is on it like this. Wondering if this is just a typical bacterial bloom for a new tank.

I've also decided on an AWC and ATO system that should be coming in the next week or so.

Looking good! Over a month and no creatures.... u r reefer patient!
Oh man it's hard to keep it empty when I have decent fish stores nearby. A friend of mine will be giving me majority of his fish and coral so I plan to have a few fish and coral the end of this month when I have time to go get them.

Added this thread to the appropriate location and added a few extra pictures from the end of the tank. Will transition over to the member tank forum:
