I am moving soon, and I am hopefully getting a new custom tank,
https://www.customaquariums.com/sharecart/index/cart/crypt/WG5jVDkySkdJYUpRYTdyeERQdGk4Zz09/
I would like to get some help on choosing equipment and a affordable sump. My budget is 1500 and I need to find lights, a sump, and a good return pump. I am up for used or new equipment, though I prefer new for the sump.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
MSB
If I were to do it all over again on the sump I would DIY. You will save a ton of money. There are several good designs on this site or people willing to share ideas.

Nice looking sump, but that is 400.00 of your 1500.00, quality lights aren't cheap. Just tossing stuff out there :) what lights are you thinking about?

In the end you need to get what you want and what makes you happy!

Everything nickle and dimed me, I had a budget of 1500.00 and killed it, pumps, power heads, do/di, sand rock. Boy! It gets expensive! Lol

I have one Maxpect R420R fixture, and possibly another from a friend. I think ill buy a third for the whole tank, thats another 500

Luckily I already have an app and 3 Gyres so I don't have to spend money on a controller or flow

Yeah. I think that Now I just need to find a Pump

And do you think I could cover that area (72x30) with two r420rs?

To be honest I know nothing about those lights and would be afraid to even guess. I don't want to give you the wrong info.

You can post that specific question with your tank dimensions, somebody will be able to answer your question. Sorry I wasn't more help! Sounds like a cool build, keep me posted as it goes together!
