So I'm building a new production home and need some help on building/placing a new tank. Here are my ideas so far. I really want a peninsula tank and a fish room, but don't know if it will work. Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated! Attached is a link to the virtual model which kind of puts things in better perspective.

Brandon, Tough layout for a tank, hardly any wall space. By the dinette means under tank filtration only.
By the garage wall leaves the option of using the garage behind the wall. A real + in my opinion. With all the windows light could become a factor with algae. I have it twice a year, spring & fall on mine. Nice presentation in 3D, put the tank in & see how it looks but You already have my opinion.

Thanks for the reply, I know I'm pretty bummed with the wall space. Thoughts on a peninsula or against the wall?

If you would be happier with a peninsula place it like that 1st, then the other way just to check what works & does not. I wanted a 300DD tank but with the space I had it would have caused problems so I had to go smaller by 6".

I like the peninsula in between the kitchen and living room. Plus you would see if from the front door which would be really amazing. IMO if you did it by the garage I would not do a peninsula there that would just feel kind of weird to me.
