Will post more pics as things progress. For lighting I'm using three XR15 G6 Blue's. They will be spaced 10" apart. Currently I'm running one XR15 G6 Blue at 85% intensity over the 45 cube (all SPS) and the frags do really well. Remember the 100 EXT is about 19.5" deep, and with my Aquascape that puts the majority of corals at a depth of 9" to 10" under the surface of the water. Light should be bouncing all over the place in there!

Finally there... Between the prep, the transfer and then the cleanup it took 3 days. The new IM 100EXT is up and running and all live stock is doing well. All levels are great too. Nice system Innovative Marine! I love the sump... Almost 40" long, large chambers, easy to get to everything, especially with the 5 door APS cabinet. The cabinet is wonderful . You never feel like you have to get on your knees and crawl in there. Access to every part of the sump is easy. First system with an Apex so there's some things to learn. So far it's running great, updated perfectly and I must admit it's nice to have real time data. I'll let the system settle in for at least a month before I think about adding anything. In the mean time I'll keep dosing a variety of bacteria and pods to get the biome started successfully.

As of this Thursday the new 100EXT will be running for three weeks. Looks like the transfer was successful. Everyone is doing well, both corals and fish. Waited for any sort of out break. After the first week it came, a reddish / brown algae covered the rock and sand. It lasted 3 days then began to recede. Within 4 days it was completely gone. For a system this new it seems fairly stable, no other outbreaks. Says a lot about dosing multiple sources of bacteria. Between the bacteria in the AF Sand, AF BioS, AF Life Bio Fill, cooking the AF rock for several months prior, MB7, and AF Life Source, it seems to stave off any uglies that present themselves. Man I love bacteria! Here's a few pics to show where I'm at.

Just over five weeks since the transfer and I couldn't be happier with the tank. Fish and corals doing well. Added bunch of corals last week from the WWC Sale. All healthy and polyps everywhere.

I have three... On the left side at the top is a XF350 Gyre in random mode set to 100%. Same side towards the back about a third of the way down I have a Nero 5 shooting water along the back. On the right side towards the front about a third of the way down I have a Nero 7. There's high flow in the tank (between 65 and 70x's per hour) and I have no noticeable dead spots. It took about a week to get the placement right where I eliminated dead spots and didn't blow sand around. Remember much is dependent upon your aquascape. It can be hard to see from a front FTS of my tank but water can flow under and through all of my rock work. Your placement will depend a lot upon your aquascape.

Thanks... The NUVO 100EXT is a nice system. All I can say from experience (to many years to mention LOL) is make sure water can flow as freely as you can at all levels of your rock work. It really helps with flow and the health of the tank. Best wishes!

AF Air Scrubber: My PH varies like most. At night it gets as low as 7.79 and as high of 8.07 during the day. BRS had 20% off on AF stuff so I bought the AF Air Scrubber and hose. I like this Scrubber because the water reservoir is separate from the main reactor and makes top off a breeze. So far it has been running for about 30 hours. My new low at night has been 8.13 and during the day 8.2. It keeps going up. So far so good. Looks like this reactor works well. I bypassed the air can on my Ultrareef Akula Skimmer and hooked the hose directly to the Venturi.

Thanks… It was almost 9 weeks. Initial setup was a big chunk of LRS Reef Frenzy into a 32 gallon Rubbermaid can. I dosed AF Bio S daily the entire period of time. After the first two weeks I added MB7 and AF Pro Bio S and -NP Pro. Periodically I added MB Clean. I think I did three 5 gallon water changes during the entire time.
