thought id start a sort of blog on the progress of my brand new tank as a way to keep me motivated (upgrades coming)
As of right now its one of the new biocubes 32 comes standard with LED
First thing i did is rip out the filtration system and added a fluval sea ps1 skimmer (currently off) and a fairly coarse foam block , started with ~20 lbs of healthy live rock, live sand, and nutri seawater

Current view of tank: day 0 still to cloudy to discern rockscape

After the cloudiness subsides some, move around the top layer of sand to work the bubbles out. You don't want to build up too many gases in your sand bed.

Sounds like a reasonable idea ill difinetly give it a try

Cloudiness cleared up still alot of particulate floating around, added a small temporary pump to help move the water (will be adding a jebao pp8 to get some gnarly waves)

Nice scape. If your in the "cycle" process I wouldn't have the lights on. You will regret it later when there's algea everywhere.

I waited a month before I started my skimmer. Couldn't resist on the lights though.

Yea its hard to not keep the lights on ive put them on the "dimmest" setting only turning them on to full for the picture quality
