I have added a calcium reactor to my 380 gallon sps system that has been maintained mostly by kalwasser. The kalk is in a reactor that is mixed every 3 minutes so it stays very potent and sometimes is a slurry.

Just so happened that the kalk doser wasn't working for a few hours and on the next dose ph and dkh both jumped higher than I'd expect.

Nothing I'm worried about, but is there some chemical reaction happening here now that I'm adding extra co2 to the system?

Did you by chance double dose the Kalk?
Kalk helps keep ph elevated along with adding Kh to the tank.

Calcium reactor actually can cause ph to go down due to the excess CO2.
