Well I ended up getting the Canon S5-IS with a tripod for 220.. I flipped through the manual kinda fast and heres what I came up with.. Any help or info would be great! Setting was on AV, I put the ISO at 80 and used white balance..

Thanks! I know the pics aren't that great, that's why im asking for help lol.. Im going to be ordering a lense in the next few weeks but until that gets here any advice on how to get a crisper photo? I think another problem im having is im trying to shoot at an angle and from what I just read that will make em come out blury? Ill just have to lower my tripod.. Also is there a 'trigger' or something you can use to activate the camera so it's totally hands free?

Zoalover...I can just suggest that when you take a photo...put your finder down a bit and let the camera focus for just a moment if you have it on auofocus, then take the photo. The camera will generally tell you with a green light that isn't flashing that it's ready to take the picture in focus. Also, are you taking the photos with the flash or without the flash?

First thing... You can't get a "lens" for your S5. You can get crappy diopters though. They will serve just like a magnifying glass, and may allow you to get closer, but the distortion will also increase. You are better off just cropping the image in post.

As for the hands free, just use the self timer. :D

Make sure to read to stickies at the top of this forum, they will cover most of what you are trying to do. :D

Flash was off.. I did browse through the stickeys that's where I found the ISO info.. Ive seen alot of nice pics IMO with this camera and the adapter n lenses, they are fairly cheap also so im gonna try em out..
