New camera... mirrorless or dslr?!?

So I know there are tons of "Nikon vs Canon" threads and " which dslr" threads. I'm in the market for a new camera but I'm leaning towards mirrorless instead of dslr.

In comparison I'm tempted to go

Sony a6000 or canon SL2

Sony 6300 vs canon t7i.

I would go with the cheaper models just to get some better glass but what are the opinions out there?!

Anyone using mirrorless cameras for aquarium pictures?

Anyone have experience with dslr vs mirrorless?

I've seen a lot of people tag you for your camera advice... if I were to go mirrorless which would you pick between out of these options

Sony a6300

Sony a6000

Or do you have another preference at this price point?

As well as what lenses would recommend with the camera initially? Macro?

Go Sony. Or Fuji. Like most kits, get a long zoom and short zoom kit. The family will love you for it. You can wait to play with primes later. It's also stupid easy to adapt sweet old manual focus primes to a mirress as well.
As far as macro. It about budget there. Sigma , tokina at the proffered non oem. All other are named and awesome but $$$$$$

Thank you for your input. The more I looked into it many people switch from Sony to fuji so I'll probably be getting a fuji. I was looking at the xt10 or xt20. I'm gonna wait to see if I can get one on a Black Friday or cyber Monday sale
