New candy cane help.

Got some new candy canes after nuking my old ones. Just blew some sand off them and it looks like they have a tiny bit of tissue damage betwee where the heads are splitting. Will they be ok?

Tissue loss or sting by a nearby coral. Make sure to keep other coral about 3" away from it. Maintain Moderate light and water flow and add a little iodine and potassium to help with tissue healing.

I don’t have any other coral. They did that when I was blowing sand off them. Will they be ok? I didn’t even blow water on them that hard.

They should be fine and continue to grow provided water conditions are good.
For the future, unless significant amount of sand, they are able to eject the sand themselves.

My water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, pH 8.2-8.0 ( kinda colorblind can’t tell), 10-20pppm nitrates and falling. I had another set o FW nuked like an idiot. Are those parameters ok for them?

This is where I have them in the tank. Flow is biocube 32 led stock return pump. Stock light as well. Other colony was growing great in the same spot before FW.

PH - 8.1.-8.3
Temp - 77-99 deg

Lol no it’s not new. I’ve had a tank for almost 8 years. I just swapped from a nanocube 29 but used the same rock and water. New sand. Tank has been through a mini cycle. Workin on reducing nitrates. They are falling quickly. Salinity is 1.025, I keep the tank at 78 degrees always, pH is between 8.0-8.2. What do you think?

As long as not false readings from test kit ( Mainly API), parameters are good

I use two different test kits to make sure because I had a bad API one once.

they are a hardy coral,keep "bad area " clean,will have 10 heads before christmas
