Egg crate can work well— it can sit nicely inside the rim, and with a psi of snippers you can make ‘custom’ cut-outs for just about any piece of equipment hanging on the tank. Let’s see a photo when you are finished.

No not biota was from advanced marine aquatics on Long Island. Short drive for me. Arrived by him on the 19th. They acclimated eating flake. Picked up today.
