New Chiller is wet

I just received a brand new 1/4 hp AquaEuro USA chiller that arrived wet inside the packaging. The front grill was popped askew, an air filter popped out, and a scuff. The product box was on it's side inside 2 larger boxes. I'm really surprised at the condition of the unit, as it was well packaged with styrofoam pieces and peanuts, and a total of three boxes. None of the boxes appeared to be damaged that bad.
I guess I have questions about why it was wet. Did the tank crack? Is that possible? Or since it was on its side, did the coolant leak out?

It could be they tested the unit for leaks. I guess it would depend on what fluid is and does it seem to be leaking still

If the coolant leaked out, it would go from a liquid to a gas almost instantly, so I'd rule out coolant as the liquid you're seeing.

Chillers can come with fluid in them from being tested at the factory. Usually in the guide it comes with it mentions that somewhere. I got a new chiller last weekend it had water on it but it said to expect that.

Coolant would be gone by the time you get it. See any oil? If yes Coolant issue. Sorry
