I just got a 6.1 gallon rimless glass bow front tank for Christmas and a nano heater for it! It is freaking awesome! I love it! What kind of filtration would you recommend for it? I plan on using live sand and dry rock. I know that by using a hang on back power filter that I risk losing a lot of space because of how small the tank is. What do you recommend? Also, what kind of lighting would you recommend? I plan on only housing corals such as button polyps, green star polyps, hammer coral, frogspawn, etc. Thanks! Merry Christmas!

You should start with some zoanthids. There are some nice ones you can get for cheap. Eagle eyes, king midas, lunar eclipse, radioactive dragon eyes, etc. I wouldn't recommend GSP on such a small tank. They take over quick, and you don't have much space. Same goes with button polyps. But if you really like them, don't let me tell you not to get them :)

Great gift. Merry Christmas!

The tank does not have a chamber. But yeah lighting was going to be my next question, lol. Got the filtration down.

I would get a par led bulb. They aren't too expensive, look pretty nice and, if you get a goose neck fixture, easily adjustable. I like the nano box fixtures but, they are expensive.

A Tunze 6040 would be overkill for a tank that small. It would literally blow the water out of the tank if you turned it up any higher than 20% full power.
