Hey I have a bit of coral as well let me know if ya need anything!!! I have a buddy who sells frags for a great price and has a pretty awesome selection of soft and hard coral and rock and bubble nems also designer clowns. Pretty gnarly stuffThanks everyone, you all make quite the welcoming committee!
Jeto2004, questions? Plenty still lol I will probably save a lot of those for my build thread. I will have some questions on equipment, building the sump and eventually stocking. Originally it was going to be a 29 gallon tank. Once my wife said she didn't want a bedroom tank anymore, I got the wild idea of selling my 150 gallon "poor man's saltwater tank"(mbuna) and doing a 75 reef instead. So now all of the equipment has pretty much changed.
Arthacker87, thanks for the offer! I actually just picked up a Curve 5 for $75 a couple weeks ago so I'm good on the skimmer. You aren't terribly far from me either. I'm in the Fairfield area.
Pelphrey, I was just there last month. Sadly I think it's gone downhill a lot, but it's still a nice aquarium
I look forward to contributing to this forum in the future.
Someone say 8ft 300 (it's a 265 lol)For sure. I love the 6ft 150, but there is no way I could afford a reef tank that size let alone stock it. I also don't want to go overboard just yet being new. My plan is to get as much experience on the 75 and then when we move to a larger house (possibly within the next 2-3 years) and if money allows, upgrade to at least a 180. I really want an 8ft 300, but shoot lol One step at a time...
