I currently have a maxspect 230 gyre running on ramping pulse mode in my 36" 40 breeder aquarium. I always wanted to put two ectoech vortech mp10's across from each other however my tank is made by coast to coast and is 1/2" glass. The mp10's are rated for 3/8" although some people have had success with them on 1/2" glass. I am not willing to risk them falling so I will not consider using the mp10 on the 1/2" glass. I considered one mp40 but feel that would be similar to my current flow with my gyre.
I am thinking about getting two AI Nero 3s. Surprisingly the AI Nero 3 is rated for 1/2" glass (update the mp10 magnets!!). Has anyone had 2 AI Nero 5s across from each other? What is the pump performance like? What do you like about it? What dont you like about it? I have been researching multiple forums but just wanted to see what people thought with their own experience.
