new clam

i just got a awesome 4 inch derasa clam today from my lfs. i ahve a 180 gall display with a 48 inch 6 bulb t5 light. i just have a couple of questions:
were is the best spot in a 180 gal tank to be placed.
Is the sand bed a good spot?

Sand bed should be fine, especially for a derasa whom in my experience doesn't always like to foot itself as like a maxima might. So, yes sandbed is fine.

thanks i moved it down there it seemed to be atached to some small peaces of rocks from the lfs. not the best pics but it is really good looking clam

Defiantly nice looking clam man, pretty good mantle expansion too for recently added.

Yah it did not take long for it to come out like it was opening in the bag and as soon as I put it in the tank
