I am starting a new QT session with two new clowns I picked up. One is a mocha ocellaris the other is a misbar. I did a fresh water dip for flukes. Wow, I actually saw them fly off about 2 mins into the dip. The little guy, jumped out at about 3.5 mins into the dip. He had a long fall, so I put him in the QT tank. He had me on edge all night because he was breathing heavy and it looked like he couldn't swim. He stayed behind the filter. This morning when I fed them, he did eat a few pieces of mysis and now he's swimming around. The misbar is a bit bigger and he has been showing his dominance, it has subsided now. After putting the two in Qt , I looked at the dip container and there were quit a few sesame seed looking things at the bottom. Flukes? If so, I'm a believer in FW dips. What should be my next step? Should I start metroplex for Brooks before TTM? It's a strong possibility that I will be getting another fish in the next couple days I want to wait for the TTM until then.

Do you suspect brook or are you just treating as preventive? If there are no symptoms of brook, I would dose praziquantel for the observed flukes first. You can do both doses during TTM, 24 hours before the first and third, or second and fourth transfers. Either will work. Then you can run metroplex during the 2 week observation period after if that's what you want to do. Personally, I don't bother unless symptoms pop up.

^^ Agree; treat for flukes first since those were observed during the FW dip.

No I don't suspect Brook, they look pretty healthy. Prazipro it is.
