Yesterday I bought two new clarkii clowns with the hope of them hosting one of my nems and maybe showing my Occ clowns that the nems are ok to host. I currently have 2 btas and a condy in the tank. Two of the three are considered hosting nems, bet ya cant guess which one the clarkii decided to go to? Yep he chose the condy. I used to have a maroon and it hosted the condy also with the btas in the tank.(As a side note my Occ pair has never bothered anything in the tank including other clowns) Here's a pic of one of the new ones this morning.

HA! Cool.

Clowns will host anything from a BTA to a mag float! LOL!

Congrats on the new clowns, from what I have read clarkiis are one of the easiest clowns to get hosting. Interested to hear how your clarkiis do with the other fish in the tank in the future.

Congrats. They will be hosting everything in the tank before you know it.

Thanks all!! Rev. my Occ have never hosted anything but the top of the tank on one side. Clarkii was in there 30 mins and washostng in the condy. Barb my Occ have never bothered anything in the tank including other clowns. I will keep yall updated on how they do together.

Hey BarbH though id give a update on my clowns. All of them are living together peacefully. It took about 3 days to get the other fish not the clowns to leave the new clarkii alone. The clarkii is still hosting the condy and the occ's are still not hosting anything. Here is a couple pics of them I took this morning.

Looking good, thanks for the update :D Right now all I have in my tank is a pair of Clarkiis and a trio of blue green chromis. So far everyone has been doing well, hope it continues that way as new fish are added and everyone matures.

Hey Thanks. Ive never had luck with chromis they always die in a few days. Good luck with yours. Im going to have to get my clarkii a mate before she get to much bigger. The only thing im worried about is when they both get big enough to start laying is if the agression will pick up between the two species.

Thanks the Chromis have been doing well so far, altough my guys do seem to be a bit of picky eaters, will not touch flakes or pellet food. Everyone goes crazy over my homemade. I am hoping that my Clarkiis continue to be model citizens although if I do run into problems I do have an extra tank that I can set up just for them as a backup plan.
